VISION
Revolutionizing Indian commercial vehicle technology through sustainable, cost-effective hybrid powertrains for cleaner logistics

POTENTIAL IMPACT
Immediate 10-15% reduction in total emissions from Indian trucks,
without the requirement of any additional infrastructure. (unlike EVs)
30-50% increase in net profits of Indian logistics sector
via savings in diesel costs.

Promoting Sustainability
via Reduced Emissions
Close to 50 lakh medium and heavy duty trucks (MHDTs) run
on India's highways.
They emit ~200 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent into the atmosphere every year, which is 50% of total vehicular emissions in India.

Enabling Alternate and Greener Fuels
Hybrid enables the switch to alternate fuel sources like CNG, biodiesel etc. without compromise on power or efficiency.
Reducing fuel imports and thus reducing emissions.
Prototype Progress
Bibtya_0.1 involves the development of a basic bench prototype for characterizing an engine under varying load conditions. The prototype consists of a lead-acid battery system, an engine, and a controlled motor setup to measure efficiency and performance.
